Sitting in the Rif mountains of Morocco, Chefchaouen is a magical, blue–washed town of narrow alleys and street stalls, converging in compact but lively squares.
Day trips from Chefchaouen into the mountains are a good way of exploring parts of Morocco you wouldn’t expect to see, including Talassemtane National Park and Akchour Falls.
Unfortunately, there are only flights to Fes from London. And then it’s a 4 hour bus drive (6-9€) from Fes to Chefchaouen. A real adventure until you get to Chefchaouen, something that just adds to the magical experience.
Where will you catch your flight to Fes from?
